How is thin skin used for a wing case ? Glued or tyed in ? I thought it was adhesive but I see that it is not.
 
Thin skin is tyed in.
 
Yep just cut to your demensions and tie in like a scud back. It's nice because you can cut it to any size or shape.
 
For stonefly nymphs use a wing burner. Howeverm because it vinyl you will have to encourage it to burn to shape; I use a bodkin for this.

I just cut it to shape with scissors for stonefly wing cases. Then again, I'm not super picky about the shape of my wing cases.
