My Mop Fly video is now live, and I'd love to hear what others think of a pattern like this. Enjoy!

Great video. I always enjoy watching your tying tutorials.

So it's essentially a green weenie on a comp jig hook with tung bead... :-D

Actually it's a pre fab green weenie with a tungsten bead.

Thanks for the kind words...and kinda! ;-)

Tim, thanks for sharing.

Im gonna have to give these a go. Hopefully I can find some materials locally.

After buy a mop I tied some of these up Fri night. Tried it out on a local wild brownie stream over the weekend. Caught 3 small browns, lots of action, easy tie.

FYI, the mops material can be found at Walmart in the mop/cleaning isle for about 5$

These are an amazing little fly. I have fished many different colors this fall and caught many different species of fish on them. My biggest surprises were a pickerel and a 20" Rainbow. I tie these with and without a bead which on certain days make a big difference especially with sunny's. One thing I do is use peacock colored ice dubbing for the head. The little finned monsters seem to like that on sunny days.
