In July, I'll be headed to Southeast Alaska as part of a tour of the Tongass National Forest that is being organized/sponsored by Trout Unlimited, RIO, Fishpond and TenkaraUSA.

The goal is to help raise awareness for the threats facing this amazing ecosystem and the efforts to protect it.

I'll be writing more about this in the days leading up to my travels and will be posting updates (including lots of photography) hopefully from the field and much more once I return.

For those of you that are interested, you can read more via the link that follows, which also contains links to lots of other relevant information.

Thanks,
Chad

Someday.....

Someday is what I've been saying for a long time. This will be my first time (hopefully not my last) in AK. I've been dreaming of going there for as long as I can remember.

I'm very lucky to get this opportunity and am counting the days till the trip.

I can't tell you how often I think about catching a rainbow on a mouse pattern skated on the surface ... :)

230+ scientists (in relevant fields, not a bunch of "scientists") have signed on to a letter urging congress to take action supporting the Tongass 77.
