Fished the Falmouth area on Sunday morning from 6:30 am to 10:00 am. Only managed a bluegill and a smallie about 10". Both were on a popper before the sun came over trees. There were a few boats out but I didn't see anyone catching anything. The carp were quite active; jumping clear out of the water. Seemed like a good spot to use the intermediate line I carry. I had to get used to casting it and didn't have any strikes. Hopefully next time I can get into more fish.

I was there from 2pm to 4pm and did ok catching about 4 smallies. It was slow and lots of people out. I left and went up to canal lock and put a hammer down. Fishing was much better just upstream of that dam.
I do love Falmouth though, cool place to yak fish.

I saw one guy on a kayak. I really need to get one myself. My B-I-L just got one and loves it. Where is the canal lock? It has been a while since I've fished this area. I fished the Red Hill dam area at the lower end of TMI a long time ago but not sure if you can still access it.
