Managed to hit the river for a few hours sat afternoon. I've been seeing a lot of decent post about the smallies so I thought I'd go give it shot. Started in the mouth of the Susquehanna saw one hit the surface but after throwing several streamers and poppers without a strike I moved out into the river. Water temp was cooler than its been fished mostly a band of small Rapids that stretched out to the first island. Brought one nice fish to net on a white wooly bugger and caught 2 fall fish and 3 5-8" bass on a olive rubber leg bugger. Saw many more bass in that section that I just ended up spooking. Couldn't really get in a rythem. Fished 11-230 and only managed one decent fish. Anybody who is looking to fish for carp though should go check out the Mahantango under the 147 bridge. There are many more under the bridge that I couldn't get a picture of!
