Anyone on here familiar with the area? Heading out for a camping weekend with my 11 month old and was going to bring a rod or two with me. Anything specific I can try and target? Smallies?

I'm not a regular down there, but the fishing options are many. This time of year you would likely find small striped bass and largemouths on the flats (this is mainly a boat fishery). Up the river toward Conewingo you should have smallies, perch, and maybe a few leftover shad.

Thanks Dave_W. Probably just toss a few cast where I am camping and hope to get lucky wading the shorelines.

I know that area well.
Lapidum Landing launch site on the MD side has large boulder rip rap that you can cast for rock fish.Just upstream about 1 mile ,you can wade for SM bass.JUst watch the water releases form Conowingo Dam;with these temps ,they can release at
their pleasure to meet peak energy needs

There is also a beautiful public camping area and hiking trail system there.

Good restaurants in Harve de Grace .Should be a fun time

Thanks AFISHN! Looks like we are staying in Susquehanna State Park on the Beechwood Loop. Seems we well be pretty close to the lower part of Deer Creek. May give that a shot too.
