The flathead record breaking won’t stop there. The eastern Pa waters where the records have been established only to be broken in the past few years all have had one thing in common….an excellent forage base comprised of gizzard shad or alewife, both very oily fish that occur in very high numbers. These waters also have an abundance of catfish, another forage fish for flatheads.

Yeah, that flattie is a pellet pig that was planted that way straight from the hatchery.
