Until they start fining them way more than 25000 expect it to continue
 
25K is peanuts to the company. The fines may cost less than diagnosing and actually fixing the issue. I would expect this to continue. Bump the pollution fine up for repeat offenders. That may get their attention.
 
I wonder if they'll pass the cost of that fine on to their customers...
 
Agree.... the fine should be as much as it costs to fix the problem along with a mandate to actually fix the problem or continued being fined until it is fixed.

It's how we treat homeowners who are out of compliance with Township laws, correct? So why not corporations since they are "people" as well?
 
Remember politics play into it. They don't want to effect employment on Monday.
