I've caught some fallfish on streamers while floating the Schuylkill, feisty fish.

That's a real Pennsylvania native. I think I catch them on streamers more than anything else. They hit hard, fight hard, flash their colors well during the fight. We all should give them more respect. From my experience if you present a potential meal to a big fall fish, they are eating it. No imperceptible take. No refusal because you didn't brush out the dubbing. They see food and eat.

I need to learn to embrace the fall fish. They fight, they'll take anything from a streamer to a dry fly, they'll bite when nothing else will, but still feel disappointed when I have one on the end of the line.
