Suggesting a new "Members Only Stream Reports" section

I agree to some degree with Osprey. Exclusivity isn't in the best interest of the site IMHO.

Consider this.....say there is a 50 post limit to gain access to this "Member Reports" forum.
1. The general stream reports will be contributed to less
2. Members wishing to gain the status to the "good reports" will find a way to get there.
3. the Member reports will become the new stream reporrts section and the whole thing will go full circle.

Dave may as well just take the stream reports as they are nowand put them behind registration. Considering the site was essentially created 15 years ago based on a searchable database of stream reports, thats kinda kooky.

What would be the motive to post more secret stream reports? Is that a goal of this site? I don't think so. Is this site interested in "outting" every blue line on the map that holds wild trout? I don't think so. I think is in the best interest of the membership of the site to use the available resources (PM module) to communicate about sensitive issues. I also believe that the debate over Kiss and Tell is a valuable part of more recent fly fishing Heritage and should be discussed openly and respectfully for the viewers to learn from.

YEAH MO..........by no means did i intend to imply that this post was in any way a negative or a bad thing , it's been discussed before and it'l be discussed again and should be , it's a very important subject and actually took some courage on Jakes part to risk ridicule for bringing it up again so my hats off to you Jake.

I'd like to add a little something , if i lived in York , Pa. like Jake or Chester county like aFish or Philly and was stuck there due to work or other commitments and i found a gem of a trout stream , let's say it's alittle native brookie stream , and i found it on my own , in other words no one told me about it i FOUND it. I might not be so willing to post about it either. The beautiful thing about it all , and the reason i'm against it is , if you want to post , post away , if not , DON"T. If you all of a sudden see something about YOUR SECRET SPOT on here , it wasn't really so secret then was it? I think if you think there are any secret waters here in Pa. you just setting yourself up for dissapointment , There are no SECRETS , except in our government.
