I will be in the State College area for 4/26-4/28 for 2 men. Can anyone recommend a good guide at a reasonable price? Most of the guides wanted $500.00 for a full day. PM if you prefer.

What are you hoping to accomplish with a guide?

Sam Galt at TCO Fly Shop

I don’t know rates , but, two great guides are
Jamie Sanfillipo

And our own forum member

Www.keystoneflyguides.com

They are both fantastic people.

I'll guide you for half of that. jk

Well, let me see:

1. Even though I'm over 70 I love to learn new things;
2. It helps the local economy;
3. Being over 70 it's not a bad idea to have company;
4. My fishing time is limited and I hope to maximize my experience;
5. Would you like to spend a day on the stream with me for some good food, beverage and companionship?

Tight lines, my friend!

Thanks. I summited a request.

:)

I would highly recommend Sam Gault at TCO, as well.

My rate is $370. for 2 but I do not provide lunch, snacks nor drinks. However, I'm booked for as much as I want to guide/teach into June. I know some of the guides from TCO and they're good. Another is Paul Rebarchak. His business is Oak Hall Outfitters and he's in the State College area.

I can think of 4 I wouldn't recommend!
