Any recommendations for a net for wade fishing for steelhead? I have a landing mitt and I've also beached them but I think a proper net will be the best thing for the fish. Size is the stumbling block as it needs to be large enough to handle the fish but also manageable when wade fishing.

The actual net bag is not replaceable and does wear out quickly. I have owned 3 of these and use these for an every day trout net.

I want to purchase a clear rubber bag that will fit this frame...since I have several frames and am used to the size. I wade all the time.

I have been considering a Nomad net...but they are costly

I got a Nomad mid-length net in the fall and love it. It handles most steelhead around here just fine but it's a little sketchy if you get one pushing 30in. Perfect for the wading angler........I just stick it between my waistpack(Fishpond waterdance guide pack) and my body and don't even realize it's there. Pretty light too compared to most nets. The boat nets obviously are bigger but I can't imagine wading with them.

Also check out Fisknat and Brodin nets. I hear those are really nice.....but also pricey. I considered getting a Frabill......and probably would've if it had a rubber bag. I don't like mesh.
