i have heard much good, but little bad about these rods. does anyone have input? may be my next purchase. thank you.

I have heard they are a great value. I cast one once and it seemed fine.

I own 3 avids. IMO best rod for the dollar. I like the older model better; I've fished with it in subfreezing conditioons and didn't loose and responsiveness while others' rod tips were breaking. I can go on about this rod, but.......

All around great rod.

For $240, I would step up to the sage flight for a bit more money but a ton more rod
