Assuming you mean the Spring Creek in Centre County? Do you have a preference - hotels, B&B, etc.?

Assuming it is centre county, there are lots of motels in state college.
But staying in bellefonte puts you right in the heart of the best water IMO.
There are 3-4 B&B's there, although I've never tried them.
When I don't camp, I've stayed at the econolodge on route 150 - just on the outskirts of bellefonte. The rooms are small, and quite plain. But they're cheap, clean, and very handy to the stream.

As others, I assume we're talking about the Centre County Spring Creek here.

As was said, State College is absolutely blessed with an abundance of lodging and is close to the stream. Hotels out the wazzoo in town, and B&B's and fairly advanced campgrounds/cabin rental type places surrounding it. Just steer clear of major sporting event weekends and graduation, when things do fill up and prices go up as well.
