Hi all, and I hope this "break" in the weather (we're going to be above freezing today) means fishing is close!
Here's a video I just made featuring the Splitsville Caddis, a pattern created by Jonny King (of NY). He took Bob Quigley's method of the Hackle Stacker and applied it to a deer hair caddis, creating an extremely buggy looking fly with a strong delta profile.
This is a newer pattern, and was just featured in the most recent issue of "Fly Fisherman." It's a really fun fly to tie, plus from what Jonny has told me (and a few guys that knew about this fly earlier on the Upper Delaware system), this is a fly that has had success on finicky trout.
Enjoy,
TC
