Speedwell Lake to be drained

I've never had much luck on Speedwell, so it'll be interesting to see what the bottom looks like when it's drained. I know the dam was classified as "High hazard" before this past season's rains, so it's no wonder they're rectifying the situation now.

i didn't know about opossum being drained either. i was only there once, but what a time it was.

I should clarify about rectifying the situation... When $6 million falls from the sky, then they'll fix it. In the meantime, it's hard to say how long it will sit drained.

I wonder how long it will take to fill it back up again?
