I think sparkle emergers are going to be the next fly I try to learn. I just looked at materials and see about a half dozen different types of antron. Carded, spooled, bunches of long loose fibers, etc. Is there a best type and/or a type to avoid?

I ended up buying sparkle yarn and antron dubbing. That was what I could walk out with yesterday. The sparkle yarn can't be so bad because that's what Tom Rosenbauer was using in his video. He said it's finer than antron yarn which reflects more light and is probably better. Tim Flagler uses a product called antron yarn. Tom said all antron is sparkle yarn. Most sparkle yarn is antron. Just sharing what I learned while trying to figure this out. Hopefully it helps someone in the future.

And 1 pic for this thread. I found some crinkly deer hair to go with the antron hah.

A member here generously sent this antron yarn and some dubbing. Since they PM'd me instead of posting I'll let them identify themself if they wish. This is much different than the sparkle yarn I found at Cabela's. I'm not sure exactly how to describe it, maybe fluffier? I think it's exactly what I needed, even though I had no idea what I needed!

Is it Aunt Lydia's yarn?
