Just read on their site they are dissolving because of lack of interest. Sad, isint it?, that with a stream as nice as the Saucon only a few people are interested in protecting it and the majority are only interested in catching and killing trout.

There’s also a Little Lehigh (Allentown) and Monocacy (Bethlehem) Chapter nearby. There were 3 chapters in the same area. They should just consolidate into one chapter for TUers in Allentown and Bethlehem and surrounding areas. Having one big chapter would be better than having 3 chapters little ones IMHO, for organizatioal reasons. They could call it the Lower Lehigh Valley Chapter or something like that and just work on all the streams in that area (Little Lehigh, Saucon, Monocacy etc.)

Somehow it doesn't surprise me, but keep in mind that the chapter came out of the Monocacy Chapter about 5 to 7 years ago and that somehow the Creek will get the attention it needs. If you are a member of the Saucon Chapter make sure you start attending the Monocacy meetings to get the message across that the Saucon needs attention.
