I took the plung and went to Sandy Hook today by myself.
I didn't realy know what to expect when I got there . So I just headed north . I didn't see any bait so I thought I was going to get the skunk . But no skunking here :-D . I got my first saltwater slam .......... Flounder, Striper and a Bluefish ...

Dude..that is awesome! So where is your Weakfish?

Tom notice I said slam not Grand Slam ;-)

I was just kidding about the trout. When we used to fish the headboats in Jersey as kids we caught either bluefish or weakfish. Well, and sea robins.

Interesting.

Arrrhh matie....salt water is good for what ale's ya.

Neat report Fred. It's interesting that you've got a Winter Flounder. That's a rare catch on the fly. I've caught Summer Flounder ("fluke") and Southern Flounder but never one of those. Most guys target them with bait. Cool.

Fred - Nice report and pictures. Now that invitation to join you looks way better than work did on Friday!! Great job.

Just to clear up things:
Slam = weakie, blue, striper
Grand Slam = Albie, Blue, Striper, Bonito, Weakie

Now you have a slam of course, since you caught 3 in a day. great first time. did you eat the flattie, nothin like a fresh flattie.
