A-kid,
Maybe if you had joined Fred and I at the Jersey shore last November we would have done better on the stripers and blues. Keep us in mind for 2010. :)

No doubt! Look forward the first cast in the Atlantic.

i fish SW Florida and love it the only time i make it there is between Christmas and thru the new year. i am going to make it this june for snook season one way or anoter.

i have caught trout 2 at a time countless times and its great.

HF,

If you can, plan your trip so you'll be fishing around the full (or new) moon phase. The tides down there are not that strong and the full moon moves more water. The snook like a moving tide.

Also, the big females come in for the full moon.

I've had some incredible days in Naples that time of year.
One morning a few years ago I went out in a jonboat with a buddy around 4AM to fish the lights and got lots of small snook & jacks.

Then hit the eastern shore with topwater lures. We caught everything from snook to jacks to sailcats!

Next was a monster school of spanish, jacks and ladyfish in a rip.

We topped it off with a 26 pound snook on light tackle. This was all by 9 AM!!

If that doesn't get your juices flowing, check your pulse!

Good luck.
