Good news.

I didn't realize and worth checking out.:
"The land is sometimes referred to as “Scotia West” due to its close proximity to the Scotia Barrens, a unique woodland habitat that contains the largest remaining patch of pitch pine-scrub oak barrens in Pennsylvania."

 
I'm familiar with the Scotia Barrens. I've done some hiking there.

But can't figure out where this piece of land is located. I didn't see any link to a map in the article.

One thing I remember from my days at Penn State was "the barrens" had some of the coldest overnight temperatures due to the sandy soil. I guess that is the reason for the scrub oak and pine.
