Anyone have a rod rack that they wouldn't mind sharing a couple pics of? I am in the process of making one and need a couple ideas. Thanks in advance.

This one works nice as well.http://lunar.thegamez.net/fishing/homemade-fishing-rod-holders/boat-fishing-rod-holder-by-dana-376x500.jpg

I have this. It's really basic but does what it's supposed to do.

I have a plastic version of Sandfly's pic. They sell something like that at Lowe's or Home Depot. It's meant for garden tools but works perfect for rods.

azjackstraw I would definitely take a couple of those! The first one for sure. I would put them all over the house, but like everything else I like my wife would make me get rid of them!

Here is the one that I use I am very satisfied with it so far I have had it for about 3 years .

beeber2 can tell ya I need to make another one already...

Not the best pic (taken as I was moving into the house), but this is the rack I found on eBay a couple years ago. A mass prduced unit that was probably sold thru the big cain stores and discountinued (I think I got it $75ish), hole saw opened up the capacity to 9 rod tubes from the original 5, includes a small built in book shelf and cabinet for reels and fly boxes. Added the hooks to the side for hanging nets along with some strategic woodscrews to tighten it up.

Sandfly the way you collect rods you better make it two or three.

thanks bill !
drakes are on here now.

28 ft of scrap pine for a 14 ft rod rack across the joists in my basement. I have fresh, salt, and fly sections. Keeps rods from 5' to 10' up out of the way.

Wow, most of you guys are pretty lucky to have a rod rack in the house. All my stuff lives it's life out in the garage and I'm running out of room out there. Need a bigger garage.

hope its insulated, because garages can wreak havoc on equipment with all the temp changes and humidity.

Thanks everyone. I picked up on old gun cabinet and plan on converting it.

I use wine racks as rod holders. Flea markets and such can yield good ones for a pittance.

sandfly I never though of the humidity,in my shed and did worry that the heat might do damage to my rods.i have a fenwick eagle 8' 6wt I bought in 85 and a sage rod 9' 7wt in my shed.I take it I should bring them in now.For some reason I keep my Clearwater rod in the house. Thanks for the advice, I am going to bring them in now.As far as rod holders I was hopeing to see on this thread, ones for on the stream, resently I saw deltadogs home made one and really like the idea of some thing to hold the rod wile your tieing on new tippet, the one he made was only about 2 inch long by 1 inch square.

You need this then, I use and carry in my shop.
