Evidently the Penns Valley Conservation Association is doing a music festival this weekend in Millheim. Looks like a good time and god knows Penns Creek needs friends.

Thanks for heads up on this great summer event. Unfortunately i now live way too far away to attend. I've been to the Milhiem VFD summer carnival - had a wonderful cheese steak & fries and a good time after fishing the Cornuta & Isonychias on Penn's. Also had some great times at the Rebersburg shrimp feeds over the years.... so nice to see these events back on track

Hint ... drive up through the Elk Creek narrows toward Rebersburg . .. turn right on Smulton Rd ... past Maria's old Centre Mills B&B .... couple miles down ... you'll find Mammies Donuts ... shoeflypie, peanut butter donuts & elderberry jam. Then stop and see the historical marker in front of the Rebersburg post office for Co A 148th Regt PVI --- " On this spot was mustered Aug 25th 1862 "

Co A 148th Regiment fought at Gettysburg.
