My heart goes out to his dear wife Susan, to all his friends and family, and to all the other people like me who's lives wouldn't be the same had we not discovered him and his writing. He literally changed my life and helped me through the toughest few months I've ever had recently. I've never even been a fisherman or even considered it until his books. I've read them all 5 or more times just in the past 7 months since I discovered him. I meant to write to him to thank him and tell him he finally inspired me to get out there and try to fly fish myself regardless of having no experience, but unfortunately I got nervous and kept putting it off. He taught me how to fully enjoy life, and to make the most out of every day. You will be missed John, but never forgotten. I hope the coffee in heaven is always fresh and the trout are absolutely mad for flies.
