If you are familiar with the Rainey's Joom Diver heads, you probably know that they are plenty pricey. (nearly $2 each) I LOVE how they work though. They are my go-to fly for largemouth. Is there a design, approach or technique for tying with flat foam that replicates the shape/size and the diving performance of the original Rainey's?

Thanks

Syl

yes ---its not as pretty---but cut 1/8 foam in a long wedge--put a hole in it-slide over finished fly and then tie down both upper and lower sections leavin the top of the wedge up --this will flair--Iusally tie in some deer belly just behind the top wedge---cover with clear cure or fly uv paint--works

Should have almost the same effect if you buy popper heads and just tie it on backwards . Or just get creative with a dremell tool
