Reel Bags

Was thinking about picking up a reel bag. Was looking at the Allen one but if people have other suggestions I'm all ears.

I was looking for something more centralized for when I travel. I do like the CR bags idear though.

Get one of the $15 gear bags from cabelas. They are always on sale.

Insert reels and anything else you need. Done.

Allen didn't have them in stock last time I asked. Orvis has one on sale right now.

I just use the ones that the reels come with. For the reels without, I buy the rod tubes with the spot for to keep the reel attached.

I *think* he means the bags that hold 5 or more reels. That's the way I took it.

Dear wsender,

Bass Pro Shops has a White River reel case that is about 5" x 10" with velcro dividers that will hold 4 or 5 reels. If memory serves me correctly they are about $ 20.00 - 25.00.

I have one and I like it for holding my old Medalists that don't have cases. If you go to the Somerset Show there was a guy there selling neoprene reel cases for something like 3 for $ 10.00. Buy six of those and any old duffel bag will work just fine.

Go to Cabelas in the regular fishing section and find their reel bags. Find the economy 10 reel bag. I think I paid $22.00 for mine. Not as nice as FishPond but will hold the reels.
