This Model 1595 Pflueger Medalist is a LHW reel that was only made for one year, 1958, and not many of them come onto the market for sale. Other than some missing paint, and some minor surface corrosion of the reel foot, this reel is in excellent working condition.
It measures 3 5/8” x 1”, and weighs 7.55 oz (as it’s presently lined with a 6wt line and backing - I didn’t remove it to weigh the reel separately) and is suitable for 6-8 wt lines. It has an adjustable drag and a Diamolite line guide.
It comes with an as-new Cortland 444 peach colored wf6f line, backing and an attached tapered leader, and is ready to fish, or add to your collection.
I will sell this for $100.00 picked up in the Lancaster, PA area, (note: the fly line itself is worth about $70.00 new) or will ship it for the actual shipping cost, paid by PayPal.
Please send me a private message here to arrange the purchase of with any questions you have.
Thanks, John
I also really like the marbled, patina color of the plastic handle.
