Nets

For 35 years I used a short handled Brodin net. Over the last few years the rods I use have gotten longer and it is more difficult to net a fish with such a short handled net. I splurged and got a Wayward made. Very happy with it

For your typical trout fishing those $20 Cortland nets found at Walmart do just fine. If you are getting in to steelhead, salmon or fishing from a boat, then I'd invest in a better net.
