rain Jacket recommendations

gfen, yeah, thats the idea. But I hate ponchos for fishing. No sleeves, when you wave your arms around the things flap everywhere.

So you've seen gfen cast?

Seriously, jackets like the Emerger work fine in the winter if you layer under them. I'd rather do that than have one that is too heavy for warm weather. Of course, I have 4 wading jackets, and wear the heavy one the most. When it's warm out, there's always the tiny little WillyJ jacket in it's sleeve, tucked into the back of my vest for a sudden rain event.

Monthly rain gear talk

lol, yeah, a repeat. What can we say? It's winter, there's snow on the ground and a hard coating of ice on top of that, streams are flooded. It's bloody miserable out and we're all bored and ran out of stuff to argue about.

Has the AFTMA given you a lifetime acheivement award yet, HA?

decision made for you....this is perfect (if the right size)

someone mentioned a rain suit in this thread yesterday...

****s in Willow Grove has some nice rainsuits on sale, I think they were field and stream brand but they had insulated and non, 80 and 40 bucks which I thought was pretty cheap.

The $40 version is very likely the one I linked in this thread.

I have a Columbia Memory Madness hooded rain jacket. It was around $80. It's qiute light, breathable, and VERY packable. It buttons and or zips. Zippers for the pockets also. If it's cold you'll need something under it, but it will keep you dry. It's always in my day pack!
