I'm heading out to Presque Isle Bay on Sunday and want to do some fishing while I'm up there. I've only been there once but didn't fish so I don't really know where to start. I'll be targeting pretty much everything, bass, panfish, drum, etc. From looking at maps it looks like there are a bunch of ponds/lakes on the north side of the park, are those worth trying? Also is it worth casting off the beach for drum? I'll be wading/shore fishing if that helps.

Hit misery bay on the side opposite the Perry Monument. You can wade a great distance out...plenty of fish. Panfish in close, bass out in the weeds...and if you are lucky, some pike and or musky as well.

Misery Bay is a great place to start. You could also consider Thompsons Bay. You can take a look at this map for some locations: http://www.fisherie.com/Map9.asp.
