Possible PA record Musky caught

Randy Thompson from Bellwood caught a 60lb Musky from Glendale Lake.

Or at least that is the claim.
What do you think?
Don't know if it is official and certified. Heck of a fish regardless.

Pennsylvania's state record musky stretches 57 inches and weighs 54 pounds, 3 ounces. It was caught Sept. 30, 1924.

Very interesting.

It's an enormous fish but 60lbs seems way optimistic to me. It's heavy bodied and looks to be in the low to mid-50" range - perhaps 45 lbs(?)

Whatever the case, it's a heckuva musky and it will be interesting to see how this story plays out.

Well. They didn't weigh or measure and released the fish.

The people involved sure get touchy though if you show any skepticism towards the weight.
Some Game Commission guy that was there told them it was 60lbs by looking at it.

It isn't even close.
