Is anyone familiar with the little lodge right by the parking area at Roth rock state forest by the Little J? Was there the other day and took a glance at the pond right outside. There are some big trout in it, and am surprised no aspiring instagram anglers have tried to catch them.

Could be they’re stocked so no one bothers with them? I know when I see one of those big rubbery cartoonish hatchery “trout” that I think to my self it has more in common with a Marital Aid than a fish and I keep walking.

I think that cabin is available to rent.
Guess you could fish it if you do that.

Yeah, being that its located right beside a river that's chock full of wild browns, dont know why you'd want to bother with it

Have passed by that cabin a fair amount of times but don't see too much activity. I think it is an outfitters?

I don’t fish the gorge much anymore. Were they browns? Could be the owner of the cabin brought some up from the river. In google maps it’s littlejuniataoutfitters.com
