The black rooster is incredible in person but the different feathers on the others will eventually be added to the bench.

I could really use one of them. 🤔

I went to see a psychiatrist the other day. He told me I needed an emotional support animal. So I got myself a chicken.

But I fried it. With biscuits. And gravy. 😃

We have 12. Had 18 😬. The kids pick out chicks based on reasonable thoughts like egg color or number of eggs per year. We always end up with a nice mix to match some hatches though when I get involved.
 
That one chicken looks like it is a Speckled Sussex hen. That is easily one of my favorite breeds. I have had chickens for years and tried many different varieties, and I like a lot about the Sussex.

I have never used any for fly tying, though.

Murray McMurray sells the fly-tyer's package. I wonder what quality they would be. Probably not great, but I am sure they are okay.
