Heading up to Little Pine State Park for some camping/biking with my wife TH, F, S. Hoping to get out at least one or two mornings/evenings to fish. Anyone have any reports or recent outings up there? Pine or Little Pine?

Thanks.

Pine is fishing well for browns right now, but I am above the canyon. (Ansonia) Mornings are slow, afternoons have been best

Probably won't make it up that far, at least for fishing. I'm sure we will hit the canyon for some photos, etc... Thanks, i will keep the afternoons in mind down south. Thinking about slate run area for easy access. I've canoed/kayaked it but never got a chance to fish it yet.

I would stick to Big Pine. Little Pine is quite low right now, but flows are good on Big Pine. If you fish in the catch and release section below Slate Run, you should have success.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like a plan.

Unless you get on the water at first light, forget the mornings. Later during the fall it changes, but for now my money is on the afternoons and evenings, especially the evenings.
