Pheasant Tail and Hares Ear variations

what are they called. PTs or some variant?
 
no clue. I found them on flytyingforum in the archives and started to imitate them. thinly dubbed, scud back (or I prefer ziplock bag), thread ribbing, partridge legs. I zap em with epoxy for durability as well and have weighted and unweighted versions. I tie them in various shades of tan, brown, and olive.

use a ziplock bag or scud back, and 12/0 thread for the ribbing, tied in natural colors. I rarely tie PTs or HENs anymore. These usually outfish them.

those are sweet - like a quill body but cheaper.

i'm stealing those ;-)
