I was at Gouldsboro lake today. Water clarity is to the bottom in most places. Air temp was 55. Very scary clear. We saw two small perch and one small pickerel. my Babies have flown the coop. Saw and felt no Gills.
Landed nothing.
At the ramp I met two guys that had a great day with a stringer full of fish. They were using spinning gear but said that the fish have all moved down the lake to deeper and at this point therefore warmer water. They caught hem on the bottom in the deepest area. Lessen learned. I'm going again next Saturday and will hit the deep end. I'll be using a fly rod but will encourage the use of spinning gear to those with less patience.
