Does anyone know of any fairly inexpensive way to make a bamboo fly rod oven?

If you look around you can find a few different ways. Me personally, I am going to build a horizontal oven, heated by a heat gun, controlled by an electric oven (range) thermostate. Think it will work out, or I hope anyways lol.

I built my oven using a mica srip heater about a 100.00 13 years ago. I only built my oven that way becasue of the glue I was using so I could set the glue with several hours of low heat. You are only looking at 7 or 8 minutes for heat treatment (375 degrees) and some builders don't even heat treat their bamboo. The cheapest way to heat treat is a heat gun oven and you can find several diagrams and material lists on the web. You willl need a good heat gun any way.
