Went out fishing yesterday on a small stream after 5 months. shoulder is still sore. managed to land a few small brookies. ended up breaking the tip section of the rod when i accidentally hit a boulder walking upstream. not sure if this is salvageable. submitted a service request with ECHO, fingers crossed

The stream looks neat. It sucks about the rod, though. I have never broken a rod of any kind while fishing ever.
Neither have I, but I did get the tip section of my St. Croix Imperial eaten by my vacum cleaner. The rod was laying on the floor and I got too close! They replaced the tip for just the shipping cost of $25, which I thought was more than fair.

One time when I was a kid and I lived in south Florida, I was riding a bicycle to a canal/pond to bass fish, which is something I did a lot of back then. Anyways, my rod tip hit the ground, and it started to bend over. Since I was trucking along on my bicycle, there was no stopping fast enough to stop it. It continued to roll over so fast that eventually it was at such an extreme angle that it snapped.

In my high school years, I slammed a rod in a car door one time, too. Ouch!

A new tip section would be the entire fourth section of the rod. Ferrule to end eyelet.

And that’s the method of replacement I’d go with, if an option.
