Can forum pls help w Orvis & Fulling Mill Comps to TMC 2488, that Dorsey prefers due to 3X Gape.

Any other Comp hooks sources also welcome.

There are none at the moment, but rumor has it there will be sometime this year.

Why not just use a TMC 2488?

They appear to be available, unless I am missing something...

Probably hard to find at times. I know TMC hooks in the past couple of years are hard to come by.

Of course the reliability of Internet retailers inventory levels is always questionable, but there are a ton of online shops claiming to have 2488's in stock as well as more than a few eBay sellers that definitely have them.

FWIW - I use 2488's myself and it's a great hook, so if I could get the real deal I would.
