Hi all, I was fishing the yough this past week and the fish were in a feeding frenzy. These bugs were floating down river all day and must have been in the millions. I threw a small griffiths gnat and had a lot of success. What do you all think these are? To me, I thought they were flying ants. Opinions are welcomed!

Yes sir > flying ants.

Late summer is the season when fly ants "hatch"....

You can use an actual flying ant pattern, but as you have discovered, a g-gnat or similar pattern works just fine.

Have fun!!
