Open house and flyfishing demo at Linesville Hatchery April 4th

• The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will have an open house at its Linesville fish hatchery from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. April 4. There will be a kids casting area, instruction in fly tying and casting, a boating safety tent, a kayak display, personal watercraft simulator, underwater robot, exhibits and booths, fish-tasting station, walleye spawning demonstrations, and more. Participants who bring a T-shirt can also design it with a fish print for $3. Parking is limited, but free shuttle service will be provided. The hatchery is located at 13300 Hartstown Road, Linesville.

Thanks for pointing that out. I forgot about it. I had been to it once before and it was very nice. Big turnout, too. I see they added a few things since I attended. I'm hoping to attend again this year.

Be prepared that you may have to park quite a ways away as the parking lot fills up quickly and they prefer it be used by those with limited mobility. I think they had shuttle service though.
