Very nice. I didn't fish much over the winter but when I did it was with shanks. Now that it's the middle of summer I actually wouldn't mind zoning out doing some cast, swing, step. It'll be here soon enough.

Hope you're doing well Frank.

Doing good!! Thank you for asking. Just need to get back on the work out wagon and get some more flies tied for steel!!

How have you been?

Frank

Nice one Frank. Maybe this is the year i swing for some steel in the winter....need a rod too, though, any recommendations for GL steel.

You doing the tying show this winter??

Eunan

Thank you guys!!

Eunan - yes I plan on tying at the Symposium in November. Haven't received any emails about it though. Have you received any?

As far as the Salmon River is concerned, a 7wt or 8wt is fine in single hand, switch rod, or spey rod. I've never been out to Erie, so I'm not sure how light they go, but I would bet a 6wt would do the trick.

Frank

Thanks Frank. I got an 8wt single hand....

Symposium invites arrived about 3-4 weeks ago, regular mail.
MIght be worth while to contact them and see whats up.

Eunan

Thank you for the heads up Eunan. Just sent them and email.
