one fly

I'd have to go with a wooly bugger too....

But I don't want to live in a world where I have to choose only one fly. I think some of the best attributes of flyfishing are the ever changing opportunities presented by water condition variations, fussy trout, stream size, hatch timing and types of fish you're after.

One fly leaves nothing to figure out...its like jogging.

That said I think a wholly bugger provides the most versatility in any fly you can name.

How you could pick a dry fly is beyond me. Thats a pretty narrow window. But then there are guys that fish only drys...

That's funny, I was thinking the exact opposite. I agree that picking a dry fly will restrict you, but a bugger will prevent you from dry fly fishing. If I was fishing for food, I would choose different, but fishing for fun I can't imagine going without a dry fly.
But I don't want to live in a one fly world either. Jogging is not fun.
