Fished for the first time in 2025. Latest start to the year I can remember. Fished a new stream. Knew the scenery would be good from research, and expected the fishing to be slow based on some survey reports I’ve seen…Class D Brookie population impacted by acid rain deposition, I suspect.

Anyway, scenery didn’t disappoint and the stream was worth a fish from that standpoint. I only caught one fish, but it was a good one. Itch sufficiently scratched until Spring actually gets here.

That's awesome, dude! That stream looks beautiful. I'm ready for "real spring," although this week is going to be really nice.

You can't have too many more un-fished trout streams across PA to complete your list. It's neat you explored today.

Moving target to some degree. But 8, is now 7.

That brook trout is built like a pink salmon! Nice catch. Looking forward to making my first brook trout trip of the year. Got some wild browns on a dry midge pattern today which was fun. Hopefully the warm weather this week gets more fish looking up.

Nice fish! Hoping to get out for my first day this week in the warmth. Will probably stick nearby above the common stocked sections nearby - or put in a drive and toss some meat at penns
