This past season I had a ton of success nymphing overlooked water because I wasn't catching much in regular spots but knew the trout were still somewhere. It really payed off and now I regularly fish overlooked spots as they have really produced well for me. Has anyone had the same success as me, or has it just been a waste of time for some people?

I’ll typically start the day hitting more promising looking water until I’ve had a few hookups and know what’s working- then I’ll try anything and everything. We’ll never get better if we don’t experiment a little right? Less “fishy” looking areas have the added bonus of not having been worked over by 5 people before you got there. After a while, in specific water types and bug emergences these “overlooked” spots might just become your go tos!
