Ian,
Did you feel it "click" The "wow thats what they mean!" I have to go through that with every fish species and about every fishing method. Once you start catching them you feel like you are doing it right. Up until that point I just feel like I am shooting in the dark.
Congrats. Keep it up. This is a sport that always presents opertunities to continue your education.
