Hey guys, it might be a longshot, but does anyone know of any good trout streams/rivers near Trondheim, Norway? Everything seems to be salmon around here. As nice as it sounds, I believe it is out of season, and I don't have the proper tackle with me either.
Thanks in advance!

Try the uk based fly fishing forums, I believe this is just the start of the Norwegian Sea Trout run - sea run browns. A few of the Norwegians and Danish post on the fish and fly Forums I know.

Look for posts by Janman or Rasmus - both big sea trout fishers though Jan (Kristensen) recently became proper famous as the 'float tube tarpon guy'

The sea trout will be moving south and can be found at creek mouths and along kelp beds. Small streamers such as the 'Christmas tree' fly take trout from 1-7lbs.

Best of luck.

For land locked Salmon a trout rod is fine, but for sea run fish you need a bigger rod, probably in the 7 to 9 weight range. Atlantic Slamon grow large and are exciting fish to catch.
