Thanks for all of the recommendations. Saturday my wife and daughters threw a surprise party for my 50th. Needless to say, I went into acquisition mode yesterday.
There had been a Pfleuger Medalist Pro reel at Sports Authority for on sale for $14.99. Yesterday, I finally waited for a manager to get it out of the locked case. I can't believe the click is that quiet. I don't foresee myself out for steelies or even MONSTER smallmouth, so this will definitely work for line storage.
While I was there, I also got a pair of Frogg Toggs Canyon breathable waders. They were going for $79.99 and since I did an online survey after buying the reel ( I had to run back home to get more money for the waders) I got another $10.00 off. Now, I have to get new wading boots due to the neoprene booties.
