I never had interest in salt flats fishing but I am starting to think trying it once wouldn't hurt.
The first time you see line screaming off your 8 wt, then find out it was just a 12-inch Bonefish, you'll be addicted. I love fly fishing for trout, but saltwater is a whole different experience.

Yup. The sun can be tough. But lots of options for pants/shirts/hats that keep it off and actually keep you cool. As for the heat, that's why the guides I've fished with have plenty of cold beer in the cooler.😆

I am generally not a fan of summer humidity. That said, I will take the Caribbean weather over the current dreary February weather conditions we have!

We are doing a family spring break trip in mid-March to Antigua. I have been searching the internet for fly fishing information, mostly to no avail. Regardless, I am going to be taking my 8wt, a floating line and an intermediate line, some saltwater flies, and will see what I can get into.
