New member - Pittsburgh

Hello everyone, new member just checking in. I’ve been fly fishing since I was 12, I’m 30 now. I learned how to fly fish, tie flies and even built my own 8wt fly rod when I was a teenager through a fly fishing club called family ties. I spent my 20s fishing on and off a few days a year mostly, I admittedly spent too much time on women, and a lot of time riding motorcycles too, but fishing kind of fell by the wayside.

But I’m going to change that. My new plan is to fly fish almost every weekend that is too cold to ride my motorcycle. And maybe during the warmer months when riding is good I’ll find a way to pack my gear on the bike and make trips out with the bike to new spots to fish.

I'm surprised there aren't more, I thought I'd see more people looking for good spots closer than 2 hours drive from Pittsburgh. We live in the worst part of PA for trout fishing, what bad luck haha.

It's the Yough, near where meadow run comes out. I was just up there not this last Sunday but the Sunday before. It was incredibly beautiful with the leaves changing, I brought my woman and she hung out on the rocks, she was laying on them until she saw some big spiders lurking lol.

I had two different groups of people/tourists take pictures of me fishing. Has that happened to anyone else? I don't know how to feel about that lol.

Haha There may have been a little bit of that too, but I won't kiss and tell 🙂
